January 2022

On January 27th 2022, the Motheread /Fatheread CNMI Literacy Program accepted Toy Story characters from NMTech to use as displays in their program. We hope the children love them!

Additionally, we received 14 pairs of safety shoes for our Department of Corrections students. A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Saipan for your kind donation!

January 28th 2022 was a busy day for NMTech. We welcomed new and returning students to school by hosting two Student Orientation sessions. During orientation, students are informed on policies and procedures, safety precautions, and given a tour of the campus.

Captured in the photo is Rosiel Holgado, Student Services Coordinator, and Lucio Saures, Facilities & Maintenance Manager, discussing the layout of NMTech for safety evacuation procedures.

Meanwhile, the Northern Marianas College (NMC) hosted a Professional Development Training for the NMTech faculty. Thank you to our partners at the NMC Community Development Institute, NMC School of Education, and PSS Career and Technical Education Program!

NMTech visited the islands of Tinian and Rota to establish our presence and discuss the opportunities we may offer to our people. From January24th 2022 through January 25th 2022, NMTech met with the Tinian Municipal Council, Acting Mayor Joseph Santos, and Department of Labor Resident Director Jay Jess San Nicolas to discuss the needs of Tinian and how NMTech can assist with education and training to build capacity at their respective island.

Continuing on to Rota, on January 31st 2022 through February 1st 2022, NMTech met with Honorable Mayor Efraim Atalig, visited the NMC Rota campus, presented to the students of Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Jr./Sr. High School, and hosted a town hall at the Sinapalo Youth Center.

WE ARE EXCITED TO BUILD AND FOSTER PARTNERSHIPS WITH OUR SISTER ISLANDS FOR A BETTER AND BRIGHTER FUTURE!
