Quarterly Newsletter – March 2022

March 3rd, 2022 was a big day for our educational institutions in the CNMI as NMTech and PSS partnered to create the Trading Up Program – a dual enrollment program that offers high school students the opportunity to gain exposure to the various career pathways available to them at NMTech!

The Memorandum of Agreement signing ceremony took place at the NMTech campus, where the partnership between NMTech and PSS was solidified by NMTech’s Chief Executive Officer Jodina Attao M.Ed. and PSS’ Commissioner of Education Alfred Ada, Ed.D.

This day not only witnessed NMTech’s expansion in camaraderie for the benefit of future generations, NMTech also bid farewell to one of its board members, Mr. Mario Valentino. Mr. Valentino, we appreciate all you have done and wish you good luck on your endeavors!

Happy Women’s Month | March 8 – International Women’s Day

On March 11th, 2022, NMTech engaged in another Professional Development training hosted by Island Training Solutions, this time focusing on Emotional Intelligence, Effective Communication, and Work Ethics.

In this training, we learned the importance of understanding someone’s emotions (and our own) and how to better interact with them based on their emotions. We also earned how to become better effective communicators.

March 15th, 2022, NMTech participated in an outreach hosted by the CNMI Office of Vocational Rehabilitation at the Saipan World Resort.

March 18th 2022, NMTech partnered with the CNMI Women’s Affairs Office in celebration of Women’s Month. “Caesar & Carbonara” Night featured NMTech chefs demonstrating the proper techniques and procedures for preparing and executing a classic Caesar Salad and Carbonara dish. It was an evening filled with fun, laughs, and a lot of eating! Special thanks to MarPac for the beverages!

Our third and final training for the quarter with Island Training Solution focused on the values of teamwork. It is the ideas, the effort, and the actions of a team that make a company operate smoothly. To our team at NMTech, you’re an amazing bunch; we are so lucky to work alongside each of you everyday as we continue our journey!
